In my Mailbox (11)

Thanks to Kristi at The Story Siren for hosting In My Mailbox every week.

Books Purchased:
I'm still trying to stay on a buying ban but we did end up buying 2 books this week.  Ant chose The Day of the Jack Russell by Bateman and I got Dark Protector by Alexis Morgan.  That is the first book in her Paladins of Darkness series - I won a signed copy of book 6 Defeat the Darkness which sounds great but I have to read the series in order!
Competition Prizes:
  1. I received a copy of Bad Faith by Gillian Philip from Strident Publishing after winning a contest on The Bookette - thanks Becky & Strident!  Becky wrote an amazing review for this & I'm looking forward to reading it.
  2. I also received a prize pack from author LM Preston after being lucky enough to win a giveaway she did on Books At Midnight.  The pack included an ARC of Explorer X-Alpha, poster, postcard, keyring, magnets & a badge.  I hadn't heard of this before reading LM Preston's guest post but it sounds like a fun read that I'm sure I'll enjoy.
  3. I was also really excited to win a signed copy of Defeat the Darkness by Alexis Morgan from DemonLover's Book Reviews.  I've had the Paladins of Darkness series on my wishlist for a while now so winning a signed copy of book 6 has given me the perfect excuse to buy the rest of the series (I hate reading a series out of order LOL)

For Review:
I had a couple of surprise books this week from Simon & Schuster UK that made my week!  The first one is Hex Hall which I can't wait to read, in fact it's next on my TBR pile!  I also recieved The Island which is one I've not heard of but sounds really good.  I'm planning to get reviews up for both of these next week.  I'd like to say a massive thanks to Simon & Schuster for sending these to me.
