Today I'm Guest Reviewing The Scorpio Races at Book Chick City
Today you'll find me over at Book Chick City where I'm guest reviewing The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater. Thanks so much to Carolyn for inviting me to visit again and for sending me the book to read!
Stay alive, stay astride, stay out of the water...
Every November, the Scorpio Races are run beneath the chalk cliffs of Skarmouth. Thousands gather to watch the horses and the sea that washes the blood from the sand. The mounts are savage water horses. There are no horses more beautiful, more fearless, more deadly. To race them can be suicide but the danger is irresistible.
Sean and Puck both enter the Races hoping to change their lives. But first they'll have to survive.
As a big fan of Maggie's Wolves of Mercy Falls series I was really looking forward to reading The Scorpio Races. Although the story was totally different and nothing like what I expected I ended up really enjoying it. I still think that Shiver is my favourite of Maggie's novels but The Scorpio Races was like nothing I've read before and I really liked the idea behind it.
I'm not going to say anymore here so you'll have to head over to Book Chick City if you want to read my full review :o)
