Review:
For I Have Sinned is a short story set in the Charley Davidson series between book one (First Grave on the Right) and book two (Second Grave on the Left). I have to say straight away don't read this story if you haven't read the first book - it will give you major spoilers if you do. To be honest I'm pretty sure I picked up a spoiler anyway and I only just finished reading the first book! I am wondering if that's because the version I read was an ARC though and perhaps it wouldn't have been a spoiler if I'd actually read a finished copy.

This is a sweet short story told from the perspective of a ghost who comes to Charley looking for help, I don't want to say anymore about the plot because there isn't a lot that happens and it would be too easy to spoil it for you. It was interesting to see Charley from the outside, I've now got a much clearer picture of what she looks like - especially to the ghosts who come searching for her.

Like I said not much happens in the story but it was a quick, easy read and it's one that has been made available online for free by the author which I appreciate. I don't think you'd be missing much if you skipped this story but if you want to revisit Charley's world while you're waiting for the next book to come out then I'm sure you'll enjoy it. In a way I think it's a shame that this gives a spoiler for the first book because otherwise it would have been a great free way to test the waters and decide if you'd like to read the rest of the series.

UPDATE 2018: This story was originally available to read online for free but can now be purchased as an ebook
