When I spotted Carolyn at Book Chick City post about a Sookie Stackhouse Read-A-Long I knew I had to take part. I was given a set of the first 8 books in the series for Christmas in 2009 but for some reason I still haven't got around to reading any of them yet. This is a series I've been wanting to start for a long time now so it's great to have an excuse to get reading! I love the True Blood TV show so have probably given myself spoilers for at least the first few books but I've heard so many good things about this series that hopefully I'll still really enjoy them.

UPDATE:
After really struggling to get through the first two books in this series I've decided not to carry on with the challenge. I still own the next six books and may well attempt them again in the future but at the moment the idea of reading them isn't appealing to me in the slightest. Rather than force myself to continue I think it's best to take a break from them!
