My Challenge Updates:
Every year I plan to sign up for less challenges but then I always get carried away and end up joining loads! I like using them to keep track of what I've been reading though so I can't resist. These are the challenges I'm taking part in for 2013:
2013 Read 100 Books in a Year Challenge - Read 200/200 COMPLETE
2012 British Books Challenge - Read 42/50 - So I didn't quite meet my goal of 50 which I'm disappointed with but I read so amazing books and I'm just going to have to work harder next year to make up for it!
2013 Debut Author Challenge - Read 23/50 - I've decided not to take part in the Debut Author Challenge in 2014, I'm sure I'll still find some fabulous new to me authors (I've got several on my to read pile already!) but I want to try and focus more on finishing some of the series that I've already started.
2013 New Author Challenge - Read 96/100 - for the same reason mentioned above I'm going to reduce my goal for 2014 to 50 new to me authors while I concentrate on completing the series I'm already reading
2013 Urban Fantasy & Paranormal Romance Challenge - Read 88/100 - I'm actually surprised I didn't hit my goal for this one, it just shows how much my reading tastes have veered into contemporary romance over the last couple of years! I'm hoping to hit that target of 100 books in 2014 though :o)
2013 Contemporary Romance Challenge - Read 100/100 COMPLETE
I've signed up for my 2014 challenges ready for the new year. The main one I really want to make sure I achieve is the British Books Challenge, I didn't quite achieve my goal for 2013 so I'd love to surpass it in 2014! I'm also aiming for less new to me authors this year, purely because I have so many series that I'm part way through that I'd really love to finish before I start lots of new ones.
