September Books of the Month:
(Choices are made from books reviewed this month and the links will take you to my reviews)
My top adult reads in September:
Archangel's War by Nalini Singh (read my review here)
At the beginning of the month I was lucky enough to go to see Jay Kristoff in conversation with Samantha Shannon at the London event to celebrate the release of Darkdawn. I've been a massive fan of Jay's for years now so I was really excited to get the chance to meet him and I had a brilliant time at the event. Jay and Samantha spoke for about an hour before the signing started and they were hilarious. I wish I'd taken notes but the one sentence that really stuck in my mind was Jay talking about how he couldn't say the C word because we were in a fucking church (apparently Jesus is okay with fucking though LOL). We got there really early so we were lucky enough to have front row seats and be near the front of the signing queue afterwards, I was able to get my copies of Nevernight, Darkdawn and Illuminae signed by Jay and then I may have purchased a copy of The Priory of the Orange Tree for Samantha to sign at the end (that is one beast of a hardback!).
